AS9120 Overview

AS9100 is a quality management system standard for the aerospace industry. Based on ISO9001, AS9100 features additional requirements specific for the aerospace industry. FLY EXPRESS COURIER SERVICE obtained the AS9120 certification, a certificate in the AS9100 series awarded to logistics companies, pass-through distributors, trading companies and other non-manufacturing entities serving the aerospace industry supply chain.
AS9120-certifed distributors earn the privilege of accessing businesses on the global OASIS Database (Online Aerospace Supplier Information System) run by the International Aerospace Quality Group.

FLY EXPRESS COURIER SERVICE Activities

In September 2011, FLY EXPRESS COURIER SERVICE became the first Japanese forwarder to acquire AS9120 certification. This same certification was obtained in November of that year by seven business locations of FLY EXPRESS COURIER SERVICE USA, an overseas subsidiary of FLY EXPRESS COURIER SERVICE, and subsequently by locations in the Chubu area, an important hub for Japan’s aerospace industry, and in France (FLY EXPRESS COURIER SERVICE France). In February 2017, a FLY EXPRESS COURIER SERVICE location at Narita, the key airport for the Tokyo Metropolitan Area, was also certified.
